Spending time in a local village after your trek allows you to:

How You Can Help

If you have time—even a couple of weeks, or ideally a month—you can make a real difference. Here’s how:

Teach or Assist at the Local School:

• Support teachers and engage with student
• Share your skills—whether it’s English, creative teaching methods, IT/computer skills, or something entirely your own.
• Inspire children by helping develop life skills, systems thinking, and curiosity.

Live Like a Local:
Stay in a homestay in Tikot village—eat, live, and learn alongside the community. The village is warm and welcoming, and the school (led by Pradip Pun) is well-managed and open to support and collaboration.

Cultural Exchange:
This is not just volunteering—it’s sharing lives, perspectives, and stories. You’ll grow just as much as the community you support.

When to Join

The best time to get involved is after your trek, when you’re already familiar with the region and warmed up to the community rhythm. Ideal treks to pair with this experience:

• “Classic Community Eco-Lodge Trek” (10 days)
