Vimal Thapa
Nature Guide, Conservationist & Tourism Professional
Vimal K. Thapa is the Founder and Managing Director of Nature-Treks.com Himalaya, bringing over 25 + years of professional experience in Nepal’s tourism industry, with a particular focus on nature, wildlife, birdwatching, and adventure travel.
Before establishing Nature-Treks.com in 2007, he worked as a naturalist at a wildlife resort in Chitwan National Park and later served as a trekking guide, tour leader, and tourism professional with leading national and international travel companies. Today, he oversees the company’s operations while personally leading selected birdwatching, wildlife, and Himalayan adventure journeys.
A passionate conservationist, Vimal has long been actively involved in promoting responsible tourism and biodiversity conservation in Nepal. He is currently Chairperson with Nepal’s biggest and oldest conservation organizations Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN), and executive member in Umbrella Nepal, and is also a founding member of the Friends of Bird (FoB) electronic forum, which promotes bird conservation and birdwatching in Nepal. He was also involved Nepal River Conservation Trust (NRCT) previously

Megh Al
An Ashoka Fellow, Megh Ale is the Chairman of Nature-Treks.com Himalaya and a pioneer of Nepal’s adventure tourism industry, with over 30 years of experience.
He is the founder and leader of several renowned adventure tourism enterprises, including Ultimate Descents Nepal, one of Nepal’s leading white-water rafting companies, and Borderlands Nepal, a well-known adventure and eco-resort destination. His extensive experience spans adventure tourism, sustainable business development, and outdoor leadership.
A strong advocate for environmental conservation and community development, Mr. Ale also serves as the Chairman of the Nepal River Conservation Trust (NRCT) and has been actively involved with several other social and conservation organizations.
His vision, leadership, and commitment to responsible tourism continue to inspire the growth and values of Nature-Treks.com Himalaya.
Binita Ale
Director of finance and has the vast experience of working in Nepal tourism.
Mahendra Saru
He is one of the shareholders of the company joined recently in 2023. He has the experience of working in Nepal adventure tourism mainly in white water rafting, Kayaking and mountain biking
Kamal Thapa
We are also proudly associated with the Kamal Thapa (PhD), who has the vast experience being as an ecologist and biologist in Nepal mountain wildlife with specialization on Snow Leopards and their prey in Nepal
