Mustang in monsoon!

Can you trek to Nepal in monsoon season!

Answer simply is YES, of course and why not! May be every area is not advisable or pleasant in wet season, how ever the highland specially Upper Mustang and even Everest and Dolpo are are still wonderful to experience. Its a so much different than in fall or normal trekking season.

Trekking up there this time June, July and August, September is so much nicer due to many reasons such as temperature is milder, cleaner area, less dust, more greenery even up there in these desert landscapes and much, much less or almost no tourist. There is rain up there but nothing like we get in lower in southern part of the country.

One and only downside is the to get there and get back, that can be challenging and adventurous or time taking, though most of time we have been able to do well, that of course depends on how we foresee and make the decision. We can do it, you can do it!

We had a trek, recently done for 14 days for our regular clients who has been to Nepal for more than 6 times and hope to be back again for another trek in future. They loved and enjoyed the whole trek, area and were also had smooth in and out of the area, back in Pokhara and Kathmandu. One thing that talked is if the trekking trail has been left along, with the motor road in different one. This is something, that has so much negative and even positive impact of the area.

And now many trip up there can be done by four wheel with stopping in few places, doing the side trek and of course venturing into that road less area too.
